Zola Jane Simpkins Linkous, 73, passed into her glorious home in Heaven on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at her home in Pulaski County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon Linkous, Jr. Survivors include three daughters and son-in-law, Linda and Michael Bassett, Patricia Ann Linkous and Rebecca Lynn Linkous, all of Radford; four step-daughters and their husbands, Helen Lorene and Ed Lane of TN, Claudine and Ron Albey of Arkansas; Christine and Pete Denmyer of Baltimore, MD, and Bobbie Jean and Tim Powers of Whitehall, MD; one brother, Pete Simpkins and one sister, Goldie Simpkins, both of Snowville; grandchildren, Michael and Katrina Bassett and a special grandchild, Kaitlin Linkous. Mom was a special friend, mother and grandmother whose legacy of love and friendship will live on in our memories and daily lives. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 9, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fairlawn Grace Brethren Church with Rev. Lester Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
