Winford Dallas Jones, Sr., 77, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, March 25, 2019. He lived most of his life in Mohawk, W. Va. and recently moved to Pulaski, Va. He was a longtime member of the Church of God of Cleveland, Tenn., a member of the UMWA Construction Workers Union, and retired from Red Ash Coal Company in Litwar, W.Va. He was a family man who loved his family dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Earnest and Sevilla Jones; brothers, John Dow Jones and E. C. Jones; and sister, Lula Church. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mary Margaret Stacy Jones; sons and daughter-in-law, Winford Dallas, Jr. and Francine Jones of Pulaski, and Michael and Maria Jones of Columbia, Missouri; grandchildren, Clinton and fiance Taylor, Kaela and husband Kwame, Laela, Alyssa, Logan and Payton; and great grandson, Kwame, Jr. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, W. Va. with Pastor Dallas Jones, Jr. officiating.
