William Louis Nester, 72, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at his home in Parrott surrounded by his family. Louis proudly served in the United States Marine Corp for 20 years, earning a Purple Heart and 2 Bronze Stars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Macy Nester; daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Del Giles; and sister and brother-in-law, Helen Maxine and Maurice Demers. Survivors include his beloved wife of 49 years, Patricia Morehead Nester; daughter, Alice Faye Fabrizi; son and daughter-in-law, Edward Wayne and Vicki Nester; grandchildren, Misty Dawn Mabe and husband Scott, Marissa Faye Fabrizi, Bryce Edward and Parker Ethan Nester, Alex and Josh Quesenberry, and Victoria Bentley; 9 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and 3 sisters; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Terry Eversole and Mike Eversole officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of 1st Sgt. William L. Nester.
