William Joseph Joe Lancaster, 88, of Snowville, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2009. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church and a U. S. Army veteran having served during WWII. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mary Trail Lancaster of Hiwassee; a daughter, Mary Jo Lancaster of Roanoke; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Kendell Lancaster of Max Meadows, John W. and Sandra Lancaster of Disputanta, and Timothy Paul and Connie Lancaster of Walkertown, NC; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Monday, May 18, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hall Cemetery in Pulaski County with Pastor Jim Sutphin officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford. The Lancaster family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
