William (Bill) Ronald Ford, Jr., 54, of Elliston, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 10, 2013. He was born April 3, 1959 the son of the late William Ronald Ford, Sr. and Ann Hancock Ford. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elliston. He was a long time employee of U. S. Foods He was a longtime youth sports coach in Salem and Montgomery County where he was loved by the children as well as their parents. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Reggie Ford nephew, Brendon H. Ford and step-son, Anthony Sowers. Left to mourn are daughter, Alicia Ford and grandchildren, Avone and Selena; son, Ron Ford; stepsons, Joe Sowers and Brad Wooten; former wife, Terry Ford; longtime companion and fianc, Crystal Simmons; sisters, Darlene (Rev. Tyrone) Carter, Kathy Ford and Maria Ford; brother, Kenny Ford; aunt, Brenda Claxton; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, step-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Eastern Montgomery High School Gymnasium, 4695 Crozier Road, Elliston, with the Rev. Lee A. Pusha and Rev. Rolando Twine officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Elliston, 4860 Calloway Street, Elliston.
