Wendell Everette Ward, 66, of Radford, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Fincastle and retired steel mill crane operator. He was preceded in death by his mother, Billie Marie Ward and brother, Stevie Ward. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Zaida Pierson-Ward of Radford; son, Adam Ward of Radford; stepson and his wife, Duane and Crystal Pierson of Richmond; daughter, Toni Waldron of Buchanan; brother, Rodney Ward of Roanoke; sisters and brother-in-law, Burrell and Billy Ward, and Myra Ward, all of Roanoke. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Church of God in Christ in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. with Pastor Monti Brown officiating. Interment will be private.
