Wendell William Turpin, 79, of Radford, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the VA Hospital in Salem. He was a member of Cornersview Pentecostal Holiness Church and a U. S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret S. Turpin; his parents, Roy and Alice Turpin; son, Mark Allen Turpin; daughter, Lisa Gail Turpin; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include his sons, Anthony William Turpin and Timothy Andrew Turpin (Kim Shelor); grandchildren, Matthew William Turpin (Nikki Gland-Turpin) and Taylor Renee Turpin; great grandchildren, Sutton and Finn; brother, Barry Turpin and Jerry Turpin; sister, Brenda Andrews; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2023, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Frankie Graham officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Appalachian Conference Grounds in Dublin.
