Wendell Dean Nelson, 81, of Christiansburg, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Arlene Hall Nelson. Survivors include two daughters, Carroll A. Smith of Dublin, and Linda Nelson of Radford; two sons, Terry Nelson of Rocky Mount and David Nelson of Blue Ridge; two sisters, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be private. The Nelson family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
