Wayne Gregory Zellers, 66 of Radford, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015 at his home. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Wayne graduated from Old Dominion University and received his Masters in Guidance and Counseling from Radford University. He was a retired Special Ed Teacher for Montgomery County Schools and established a Va. Tech Community Based Program. He was preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Clara Lawson Zellers. Survivors include his wife, Sheila Holbrook Zellers; brother Eddie Zellers of Hampton, and his children, Amber, Shannon and her husband Darrell, and Troy and his wife Rachel; brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Betsy Zellers of Hampton, and their son, Davey; sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Jeff Webster of Williamsburg, and their children, Samantha and Matthew; mother-in-law, Stella Foster; brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Greg and Amy Holbrook, and their children, Abby H. Turner and her husband Luke, Tanner Sutphin and Bayley, and Richard and Anne Holbrook, and their children, Bryan and Blair, and David and Jill Foster, and their children Morgan and Taylor; close family friends, Russell and Evelyn Quesenberry; and many other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank close friends Dr. William and Cornelia King, the members and staff at the Pete Dye River Course at Virginia Tech, and all the friends at the Tuesday night gatherings. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church in Radford with Pastor Charles Bias and Pastor O. D. Morgan officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday evening at the church.
