Walter Leonard (Tiny) Wyms, Jr., 66, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at his home in Radford. He was a U. S. Army veteran and worked as a concrete finisher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Leonard, Sr. and Evelyn Snell Wyms, and a brother, Max Snell. Survivors include sons, Julian Finley of Pulaski and Trey Hall of Washington D.C.; daughters, Wendy Taylor of New River, and Cintoria Smith of Dublin; 8 grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Jack and Victoria Snell of Charlotte, NC, and Neal and Marsha Wyms of Radford; sisters and brother-in-law, Lulabelle Lewis, Candy Adams, and Connie and Terry Phillips, all of Radford; sister-in-law, Beatrice Snell of Christiansburg; several other relatives and friends; and faithful pet companion, Mugsy. A celebration of Walter's life will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11:00 am at the New Mount Olive UMC in Radford with Pastor Sharon Bower and Pastor Carl Marshall officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Intrepid Hospice, 520 West Main St., Radford, VA 24141. The Wyms-Snell family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
