Walter Franklin Earls, 91, of Dublin, passed away Friday, October 2, 2009 at Lewis-Gale Medical Center. He retired from the maintenance department of Roadway Express and served his country during WWII in the U. S. Army. He was born in West Virginia the son of the late Andrew and Beulah Wise Earls. He was also preceded in death by a son, Walter Franklin Earls, Jr., his brothers Mack, Henry, Carl, Lewis and John Earls, and his sisters, Mary Kate Earls, Ruth Wells and Margurite Charles. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Gary Robinson of Dublin; two sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Andrew and Pam Earls, and John Franklin Earls, all of Houston, TX; a sister, Virginia Parsley of Delbarton, WV; and five grandchildren. Military graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. The Earls family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
