Violet Evonne Simpkins Sowers, 75, of Christiansburg, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arville Ray and Nellie Louise Simpkins; her loving husband, Joe David Sowers; brothers, Les and Harold Simpkins; sister, Kathy Reece; and her nephew, Benjamin Simpkins. Survivors include her nephews, Dwayne Simpkins (Angi), and Tim Simpkins; her niece, Sarah Gillenwater (Joe); and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tony Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Pulaski County.
