Velma Louise Brookover Cole, 87, of Radford, passed away Monday, February 29, 2016. She was born in West Virginia the daughter of the late Wirt and Clara Brookover. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Mason Douglas Cole, Jr. of Radford; sons and daughter-in-law, Mason D., III and Kimberly Cole of Richmond, and Norman Mark Cole of Radford; daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Michael Jenkins of Dublin; grandchildren, Jennifer L. Dickerson, Mary L. Schwarzer, John W. Lancaster, II, Jason Cole, Patrick Cole, Mason D. Cole IV, and Brandon M. Cole; great grandchildren, Brady and Taylor Dickerson, Ethan and Lyric Cole, and Cheyenne Griggs; and several other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin with Rev. Dr. Jonathan Webster officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
