Thomas Wayne Thornton, born January 4, 1954, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at his home in Radford. Tommy was known to all for his fun loving sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Rinda Thornton and Dorothy Simpson, along with many aunts and uncles. Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Mark Vaughan, and Christie and Byron Albert; grandsons, Dusty, Byron and Bryson; granddaughter, Briann; very special friends and companions Nina Thornton, Jay Huffman and "fur ever" friend, Sunny; and several aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Graveside services will be private.
