Thomas Edward Neal, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at his home in Fairlawn. He was retired from ATK (Radford Army Ammunitions Plant) and U. S. Marine veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Virginia Snow Neal; sister, Bonnie Brewer; and brother, Leon Neal. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Shirley Farris Neal; daughter, Melissa Farris Neal; son, Lucas Shannon Neal; brother, Joe Neal; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with Rev. Herman Sarver officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
