Obituary

Thomas Harry Linkous, 67, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at his home in Radford surrounded by his family. He was a charter member of Fairlawn Church of God. He was an avid hunter and NASCAR fan. He touched everyone he came in contact with and was willing to help anyone that needed it, but most of all he was a wonderful husband, father and papaw. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Beulah Alderman Linkous. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Glenna Mae Bain Linkous of Radford; daughters and son-in-law, Lisa F. Linkous of Radford and Amy and Scottie Lambeth of Winston-Salem, NC; son, Thomas J. Linkous of Radford; brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Beth Linkous of Radford; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Thomas Akers of Virginia Beach and Rita and Ronnie Nunley of Christiansburg; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Linda and Jack Graves, Sonny and Peggy Bain and Ronnie and Mitzi Bain; grandchildren, Skyler, Jared, Faith, Cody and Tanner; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, August 13, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Fairlawn Church of God. Memorial services will begin at 7:00 pm with Rev. Marcus Harrison and Rev. Jim Angle officiating. Graveside services will be Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Linkous Family Cemetery in Pulaski County. In lieu of flowers make a donation to the family for a private ministry of their choice. The Linkous family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
