Thelma Quesenberry Durman, 84, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2011. She was a member of Carter Street United Methodist Church and a retired seamstress. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Jackson Durman. Survivors include five sisters Delia Stevenson of Cana, Sarah Smith of Christiansburg, Polly Lawson of Pilot Mountain, NC, Dolly Lawson of Mt. Airy, NC, and Elva Danley of Arrit, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 2 pm at the Carter St. United Methodist Church with Rev. Terry Lawson and Rev. Elizabeth King officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Carter St. UMC. The Durman family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
