Thalis Edward Lawrence, 83 of Radford, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2008. He was a member of West Radford Church of God. He was retired Foreman for Radford City with 54 years of service, and a veteran of U.S. Navy in WWII. Survivors include his wife, Glada Wade Lawrence of Radford; son, Richard Lawrence of Radford; daughter, Jane and Lewis Gravely of Radford; three grandchildren, Kevin Gravely, Crystal Thompson and Keith Lawrence; five great grandchildren, Courtney and Carrie Gravely, Haley and Hannah Thompson and Shawn Lawrence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. James Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin with the V.F.W #776 conducting military rights. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. The Lawrence family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
