Tammy Yvonne Furrow Rose, 64 of Radford, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026, in Harrisonburg, VA.
Born, January 9th, 1962, Tammy was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Matthew Rose, Sister, Cynthia Diane Furrow White; Neice, Amanda Leigh Turpin Hopkins; nephew Robert Tymothy Furrow Jr. Maternal grandparents, Jesse Lee, and Ruby Mae Howell Mabry, Uncle William Michael Mabry, Paternal grandparents William Otis and Mary Leona Farmer Furrow, aunt, Scarlet Bain, uncle; Danny Phelegar.
Surviving are her sons, Travis Rose and Tommy Lee Crigger, Parents, Robert William (Bob) Furrow, Mary (Peggy) Mabry Bibb, Aunt; Linda Mabry Vaught, husband Gary, Aunt Joyce Phelegar; Sister Pamela Renee Moore, husband Jim, Brother Robert Tymothy (Timmy) Furrow, Kasie Rife, Half Brother, Eric Furrow; Neice April Mabe Shumate and husband Sam, Nephew Donald Scott Mabe and Jeannine, Neice Carrie Michelle Love and Tommy, as well as several great nieces great nephews and cousins.
Tammy worked at AT&T in Fairlawn and the Box Factory in Radford in her younger years. She obtained her GED later in life and went on to NRCC in Dublin, VA where she studied Automotive Technology and Mechanics classes. She wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and enjoyed the challenge of working on vehicles.
Tammy moved to the Harrisonburg area and lived for many years before moving back to the Radford area for a short period. She enjoyed family gatherings, especially the yearly Volvo picnic where all her siblings could take the annual picture under the tree. She also had a love for all animals, especially horses and birds, and was an avid collector of all things. She was extremely talented and had a beautiful soul. Tammy will be sadly missed by her family and friends and all who knew her.
A memorial service is planned for Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the Fairlawn Church of God in Fairlawn, VA. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a service to follow at 2:00 pm with the Pastor Marcus Harrison officiating.
