Sylvia Christine Austin Wright, 95, of Radford, passed away Monday, May 6, 2024, at her sons home in Macon, Ga. She was a longtime member of The Presbyterian Church of Radford and retired from the Radford City Clerk of Courts Office. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert "Bunk" and Lucille Kirby Austin; husband, Joseph O. Wright; daughters, Emily Wright and Deborah Wright; and siblings, Iris Irene Cox, Ernestine Miller, Lottie Virginia Marasco, William Albert "Bunk" Austin, and Mary Jolene Cox. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Russ and Jeanne Wright of Macon, Ga.; granddaughters, Sarah and Allison; grandson, Brian; great grandchildren, Julianna, Gaiya, Faye and Jayden; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at The Presbyterian Church of Radford with Rev. Robin Williamson and Rev. Morgan Whitfield officiating. Interment will follow in West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from Friday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
