Stella Stuart Maynard, 82, of Radford, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011. She was a member of the Radford Christian Church and retired from Radford University housekeeping department. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Valerie Bond of Lawrenceville, GA; two grandchildren Catrina and Austin Bond; sister, Peggy Simpkins Rose of FL; brother, Harry L. Randolph Simpkins of GA; special friends, Michael and Kay Walsh of Harrisonburg with their children Davis and Kristen Walsh and Katie Walsh. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 7 pm at the Radford Christian Church with Rev. Bobby Sutphin officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 am in the West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Radford Humane Society.
