Sidney Either Dalton, Sr., 83 of New River, passed away Friday, March 23, 2007 in the New River Valley Medical Center. He was retired from Lynchburg Foundry as the yard supervisor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Murdock Dalton, his parents, O. F. and Oma Akers Dalton, a sister, Treva Loving, and a brother, James Letcher Dalton. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Sidney E., Jr. and Connie Dalton of Radford; a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Dick Hopkins of Conyers, GA; a brother, Cecil Dalton of New River; two sisters, Lec Linkous of New River and Goldie Sutton of Fairlawn; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 25, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with his grandson - Duane Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. The Dalton family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
