Shirley Darlene Punkin Cox Crockett, 59, passed away Friday, May 5, 2006 at her home in Pulaski. She was born February 4, 1947 the daughter of the late Robert Glenn and Louise Ross Cox. She was retired after 20 years of service from Wades Supermarket as the Deli Manager. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother and sister. Survivors include her husband, John J. Crockett, Jr. of Pulaski; two sons, Leroy Delphin Burton of Christiansburg, and Russell Dewayne Burton of Dublin; a daughter and son-in-law, Laura Jane and Jerry Flowers of Vinton; a granddaughter, Kaylea Hopkins of Radford; two step-grandchildren, Joshua D. and Melanie Ann Flowers of Vinton; two sisters, Patsy Whittaker of Dublin and Annie Berry of Pembroke; a brother and sister-in-law, Phillip R. and Betty Cox of Christiansburg; and special friends, Faye Hoffman of Newbern, and Evelyn and Pauline Burton, both of Christiansburg. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 8, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor Roger Graves officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Crockett family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
