Shirley Moon Bross, of Radford, passed away peacefully at Carilion Radford Medical Center on Monday, October 2, 2006 at the age of 88. She attended the Presbyterian Church of Radford where she was an active member of her church circle. Prior to her illnesses, she volunteered her time at Our Daily Bread and the Radford Clothing Bank. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Roger Barrett Bross, and her sons, Barrett (Barry) and Aldrich (Ozzie). She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Earl and Nancy Roles of Pulaski County; her granddaughter, Angie Secondine of Pinehurst, North Carolina; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; her sister, Barbara Perry of Eustis, Florida; two nieces, Alison Pidgeon and Laurel Armstrong; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at the Presbyterian Church of Radford. Visitation with the family will follow the service in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the animal shelter or humane society of your choice. The Bross family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
