Santos Martinez Paredes, 78, of Christiansburg, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017. Santos was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas to Pedro and Maria Paredes. He lived in Colorado where he raised his children until he moved to Virginia with his son, Thomas and his family in 2006. Santos is the father of Patti (Dori) Paredes, Diana (Steve) Kelly, Thomas (Cindy) Paredes, Charles Paredes (deceased), and Paula (Kelly) McGuigan; cherished grandfather of Samantha (Chris) Miles, Leslie Lillo, Stephanie Kelly, Amanda McGuigan, Charles Kelly, Andrew McGuigan, Danielle Paredes, and Hannah Paredes, and great-grandfather to Autumn McGuigan. Santos is survived by many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends. He will be deeply missed. A Celebration of Santos Life for our friends and family in Virginia will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 1:00 6:00 pm at 268 Declaration Lane, Christiansburg, VA 24073. A Celebration of Santos Life for our friends and family will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 11:00 am at Erlinger Mortuary, 806 Denver St., Fort Lupton, CO.
