Sally Ann Lavelle Rovitti, 81, of Radford, Virginia and formerly of Alexandria, Virginia, passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised on Eloise Terrace, Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Margaret Lavelle. She graduated from Central High School (1949) and Syracuse University (1953) where she met and married her loving husband of 50 years, George Rovitti. She taught in Sacramento, CA schools and retired from Fairfax County Schools. She was preceded in death by her loving husband George Rovitti (Ret. Col. USAF). Survivors include her beloved daughter and very special son-in-law, Susan "Sue" and Michael "Mike" Greco of Radford, VA; two grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer Ann "Jenny" and Stephen Spedaliere of Westchester County, NY, and Maria Nichole "Nikki" Greco of Bristol, VA; great-grandchildren, Jackson Anthony, Abigail Grace, and Christian Dominic Spedaliere; sister-in-law, Mrs. Rita Komor of Hillsborough, NJ; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends from coast to coast. The family would like to thank Lindsey with NRV Carilion Hospice, Kelsey, Kendall, and all the PCU staff at Carilion NRV Medical Center, Dr. Daniel Kelly and Dr. Tina Smusz for their extraordinary care and support for Sally and her family. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, January 24, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home, 120 West Main St., Radford, VA, 24141. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 12, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Memorial Chapel, 204 Lee Avenue, Ft. Myer, Virginia. Interment will follow in Arlington National Cemetery.
