Sadie Akers Turpin, 92, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 at her home in Radford. She was a member of the Tower of Refuge Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband George Edward Turpin. Survivors include her daughter Sharon Diane Turpin of Arlington; brother and sister-in-law Charles and Betty Akers of Pulaski; sister and brother-in-law Reba and Buck Bratton of Pulaski; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tower of Refuge Pentecostal Holiness Church in Dublin with Rev. Stacy Cope and Rev. Glennard Quesenberry officiating. Interment will follow in the Pentecostal Conference Cemetery in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 7 pm Monday evening at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
