Sadie Viers Simpkins, 90 of Hiwassee, passed away Wednesday August 1, 2007 at her home. She was a loving mother and grandmother who put everyone before her self and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Bessie Virginia Whitt Viers, her beloved husband Clinton Albert Simpkins, a son and grandson. Survivors include three sons and daughter-in-law, Hugh A. and Rachel Simpkins of Radford; Steve Simpkins and Randall Simpkins both of Hiwassee; seven daughters and sons-in-law, Etta Simpkins of Dry Valley; Betty J. and Larry Quesenberry of Radford; Patsy Ann and Bob Sharp of Patterson; Brenda M. Lucas of Elliston; Carolyn A. Adams of Dublin; Joan E. and Donnie Anderson of Catawba; Bessie C. Massie of Radford; special grandson, Madison Lee Ramsey; twenty three grandchildren and thirty two greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 4, 2007 at Snowville Baptist Church in Snowville with Rev. Neil Woods and Rev. Curtis Ratcliff officiating. Interment will follow in Simpkins Cemetery in Snowville. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mullins Funeral Home. The Simpkins family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
