Ruth Cox Talbert, 86, of Radford, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. She was retired from New River Industries and a member of Dublin Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Mattie Cox, and her husband, James Preston Talbert. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Lynwood Michael and Regina Talbert, Donna T. and Roger Marshall, and Doris G. Talbert, all of Radford, and Frances T. and Matthew Wickline of Dublin; grandchildren and their spouses, Gary D., Jr. and Leslie Harris, Lynwood Michael, Jr., and Angela Talbert, Cara T. and Curtis Smythers, Cory Alan Talbert, and Jessica Ruth Talbert; great grandchildren, Dakota "Cody" Talbert, and Josey and Justin Smythers; brothers and sisters-in-law, and Carl and Vada Cox, and Joe and Glenna Cox, all of Indian Valley; sisters, Muriel Hollandsworth of Christiansburg, and Kate Phillips and Minnie Turman, both of Indian Valley; sister-in-law and her husband, Ruth and Frank Agee of Radford; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her loving church family. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Dublin Church of God. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. at the church with Rev. John Briggs, Rev. Mike Collins, Rev. Joe Cox, Rev. Nathan Phillips and Rev. Lynwood "Mikie" Talbert. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.
