Ruth Louise Nana Dunford Mundy, age 76 of Dublin, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2006. She was born February 3, 1930 in Tazewell County, the daughter of Thomas D. and Amelia Lewis Dunford and is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Dick Mundy. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bane and Pam Mundy of Radford; a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Ron Sugg of Maryville, TN; grandchildren, Marla Mundy, Angelique Jones and her husband Scott, Michael Mundy and his wife Heather, Nathaniel Tucker, Jesslyn Mundy and Jacob Mundy; great-grandchildren, Chase and Brennan Jones, and Morgan and Logan Mundy; former daughter-in-law, Linda Myers; her cats; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to express a very special thank you to Dr.s Michael Conatser, Robert Rotche, Tina Smusz and Richard Williams and their office personnel as well as to the nursing staffs at both Carilion New River Valley Medical Center and Pulaski Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the NRV Agency on Aging, 141 East Main Street, Suite 500, Pulaski, Virginia 24301.
