Ruth Viola Sarver Giles, 86, of Parrott, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents John Leslie and Dorothy Brunk Sarver; and her husbands, John Emory Harris and Joel Luther Giles. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, John Leslie and Sylvia Harris, James Kenneth and Carol Harris, and Richard David Giles, all of Parrott; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy H. and Doug Hardymon of Parrott; half-sister, Brenda Giles Fisher of Elizabethton, Tenn.; 8 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Belvia Sarver; her special caregivers and nieces, Joyce Farmer and Mary Hall; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Memorial services will begin at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
