Russell Ray Quesenberry, 90, of Radford, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019. He was retired from Lynchburg Foundry and a U. S. Army veteran having served during the WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Josia Alma Quesenberry; and his wife, Hazel Quesenberry. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, William Larry and Samantha Quesenberry of Dublin; grandson and his wife, Charlie and India Quesenberry of Hiwassee; stepdaughter, Patsy Carol Stapleton of Fayetteville, N. C.; stepson and his wife, Jackie and Rita Triplett of Hidden Knight, N. C.; adopted daughter, Sandra Young of Christiansburg; sister, June Cox of St. Leonard, Md.; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. with Rev. Justin Quesenberry officiating. Graveside services will full military honors will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
