Ruby Mae Combs Lyons, 79, of Dublin, passed away Friday evening, December 28, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born in Bluefield, WVa the daughter of the late William Harrison and Ollie Cornellias Combs. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Ruby was very proud to be a devout Christian and a charter member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Charles V. Lyons; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Teresa Lyons of Christiansburg, and Charles V, Jr. and Mary Lyons of Hampton; daughter Donna Duncan of Pulaski; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford with Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Gethsemane Baptist Church.
