Ruby Quesenberry Evans, 87, of Radford, passed away, Thursday, September 26, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Ellen Higgs Quesenberry; daughter, Donna Simmons; three brothers, Friel, Arnold and Lonnie; and three sisters, Willie, Macie and Edith. Survivors include a daughter and sons-in-law, Sharon and Bruce Wersted, of Antelope, Calif. and Gene Simmons, of Fincastle; brother and sister-in-law, Sterling and Barbara Quesenberry, of Snowville; sister and brother-in-law, Orpha and Guy Sadler, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thanks to Denise, Peggy, Christine, Wheatland Hills, Radford and Good Samaritan Hospice. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. September 28, 2013, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Don Sizemore officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of the service.
