Roger Warren Roope, 67, passed away at his home in Dublin on Wednesday, July 20, 2016. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a retired machinist. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Pauline Johnson Roope; and brother, Paul Thomas Roope. Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Roope of Radford; sisters, Patsy Bogert of Pulaski, and Linda Jackson of Dublin; former wife and mother of his child, Carrie Decker of Radford; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Shiloh Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
