Roger Dale Jones, 65, of Christiansburg, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Saturday, June 11, 2016, surrounded by his family who loved him dearly. Roger was a hard working man, working since he was a young man. He worked at Burlington for over 35 years before they closed. His final job was as a lead truck driver with W.L.A. Trucking. He got to see the country and provide for his family, whom he loved more than words. He loved working outside, playing with his grandchildren, and having morning coffee with his love, Teresa. Roger was an incredible husband, father and Paw Paw. He will be so deeply missed. He was preceded in death by a sister, Iva Dale Duncan, mother, Estellene Jones-Slusher, father, Oscar Jones, and grandson, William Venson Lampey, Jr. Roger is survived by the love of his life and life partner, Teresa Brewer; daughters, Carey Young and husband Brandon, Mindy Farley and husband Calin, and Amber Lowry and husband Shawn; six grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Brittany, Isaac, Kaylee, Jaxson, Jakeob and Lola; two sisters, Sue Bailey and Dinah Mabry; and brother, Oscar Jones, Jr. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the funeral home.
