Roger Harless Cornett, 64, of Radford, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013. He was a United States Army veteran and a retired over-the-road truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Hix and Juliette Snider Cornett. Survivors include two sisters and brother-in-law, Patty and David Mabry, of Radford and Nancy Keshishian, of Germantown, Md.; one niece, three nephews, other relatives and friends; special friends, Gary and Mary Farmer, of Radford and Pete Hoover, of Oxnard, Calif. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2013, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Brian Cockram officiating. Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. The family will receive friend from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations are made to the Radford VFW Post 776, Attn: Gary Harris, 402 Ninth St, Radford, VA 24141.The Cornett family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
