Rodney Harland Anderson, 75, of Pulaski, Virginia, went to be with our Lord and Savior in his heavenly home on Thursday, August 27, 2015. Rod dedicated his heart to the Lord Jesus Christ 4 years ago. Rod is survived by his two sons, Michael Anderson of Christiansburg and Edward (Eddie) Anderson of Pulaski; three daughters, Lynette Anderson McVey, Linda (Lynn) Anderson Carter and Jody Anderson Akers, all of Pulaski; brothers, Larry Anderson of New Mexico, Gary Anderson of Florida, and David Anderson of North Carolina; sisters, Harla Anderson of Florida and Brenda Anderson Dalton of Pulaski,; twelve grandchildren and four great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Anderson Lemoine and father, Harland Ondus Anderson. The family would like to express their appreciation to the entire staff at Pulaski Health & Rehab Center for their love, support and tolerance of Rod during his residency there. His children would like a special mention of Rod's once wife of 30 years, Beatrice Dianne Anderson, dedicated companion of more than 45 years, who over the past several years has selflessly given many hours of tender loving care during Rod's failing health. Bea's dedication and commitment to Rod has exemplified Christ's love in sacrifice of oneself to another. We are forever grateful to her as we know that Rod, our beloved Dad, lived his final years with the BEST of care and the BEST of love. The family will be having a private memorial for Rod this Sunday afternoon. The family will receive friends for a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, Va.
