Robert Lee Bob Lorton, 68, of Dublin, went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 14, 2008. He was an employee of Mar-Ball. He was a retiree of Inland Motors with 31 years of service and a former employee of Pulaski Corrections Unit. He was a Life member of Pulaski County Life Saving Crew and Radford Fire and Rescue. He was preceded in death by his parents Wallace Mitchell and Pearl Price Lorton, first wife Charlotte Lorton and mother-in-law, Nina Linkous. Survivors include his wife, Janice Poe Lorton of Dublin; son, Bobby Lorton of New River; three daughters and sons-in-law, Missy and David Lawson of Yulee, Fla.; Rhonda and Doug Meadows of Pulaski; Lillian Edmonds and boyfriend Matt Robertson of Pulaski; two stepdaughters and spouses, Denise and Scott Saunders of Draper; Janella and Leonard Goad of Indian Valley; eight grandchildren, five step grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Sunday, August 17, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. David Lawson and Rev. Dale Akers officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Lorton family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home and Crematory in Radford.
