Robert "Bob" Allison Jordan, 81, of Radford, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and retired from Radford Army Ammunitions Plant. He was a 1958 graduate of VMI where he played football, was captain of the baseball team and is in the Sports Hall of Fame. He was also inducted into the RHS Athletic Hall of Fame. He was preceded in death by his parents, Judge Southall and Marjorie E. Jordan; and brothers, Jimbo and Bill Jordan. Survivors include his wife, Diana Jordan of Radford; son, Robert L. Jordan (Tatiana) of Fairfax; daughters, Jill Phillips (Jeff) of Christiansburg, and Constance Washam (Charles) of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Jordan, Margo, Art and Shannon; great granddaughter, Ryan; sister, Lee Slusher (Jim) of Radford; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Grace Episcopal Church in Radford. Memorial services will follow with Rev. Charles W. Washam officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the General Fund at Grace Episcopal Church or to the VMI Class of 1958 Foundation.
