Richard Winfield Hood, 68, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014. He was a member of First Christian Church and served in the National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnie W. Hood and Jean Blosser Mace. Survivors include his sons, Brett Hood of Christiansburg, and Johnie and Grey Hood, both of Radford; daughters, Denise and Suzanne Hood, both of Dublin; sisters and brother-in-law, Sharon and Brian Lintner of Christiansburg, and Sandra Cencebaugh of Miami, Fla; and three grandchildren, Evan Hood, Brendan Hood and Keilan Vaughan. Memorial services will be held Friday, September 12, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Gina Rhea officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service beginning at 6:00 pm. The Hood family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
