Richard P. Pee Wee Cales, 76 of St. Augustine, Fla., and formerly of Radford, passed away Wed. April 23, 2008 in St. Augustine. He was a retired employee of the Lynchburg Foundry and was a veteran of the US Navy having served in the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, James G. and Louise Hinchee Cales. Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Ruby Lynn Cales, St. Augustine, Fla., devoted father of two daughters and sons -in-law, Rebecca and Thomas Quintieri and Kimberly and Michael Quintieri both of St. Augustine, Fla., son, Richard Todd Cales of Radford, sister, Mary Albert of Parrott, seven grandchildren, Justin and Kaylen Cales, Matthew, Dominic, Zachary, Anthony and Nicole Quintieri, special sister-in-law, Dorothy Hawley, Christiansburg, special cruising pals, Bob and Louise Basham of Roanoke. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 28, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford, with Rev. Ersel Alderman officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens at Dublin. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the American Heart Association. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. The Cales family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home.
