Raymond Early Nester, 80, of Radford, passed away April 25, 2009. He was retired from the Lynchburg Foundry in Radford with over thirty years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents Isaac and Rosa Dalton Nester and a sister Lucy Lyons. Survivors include his wife, Elsie Dobbins Nester of Fairlawn; two daughters and son-in-law, Debbie and Gary Nicewander of Parrott; Shelby Handy of Fairlawn; two granddaughters, Terri Hagar and DeeDee Handy; several great grandchildren and one loving great-grandson Bailey Hagar; two brothers and sister-in-law, Wade and Lou Nester and Calvin Nester all of Martinsville; two special sisters-in-law, Jody Jones and Geraldine Shelton. Special thanks to Drs. Solomon, Boerth, Choubey and Jordan, and nurses Michelle, Deidra, Jennifer, Karen and all of the nurses and staff at Montgomery Regional Hospital. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 27, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home with Rev. James Walker officiating. Interment will follow in West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home. The Nester Family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
