Raymond Odell Brewster, 76, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at his home in Dublin. He was a correctional officer with the VA Dept. of Corrections for 20 years and formerly worked for Klopman Mills, Renfro and was a former manager of Safeway Food Stores. He was a member of Highland Park Community Church. He was a 1960 graduate of Big Creek High School where he was a fullback on the football team the Big Creek Owls. He was preceded in death by his parents, Resin Orastas and Martha Jessee Brewster; 2 sisters and a brother. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Margaret Alice Brewster; daughters and son-in-law, Kimberly "Jake" Brewster of Christiansburg, and Kelley and Phillip McDaniel of Dublin; grandchildren, Miles Addison Mabry, Courtney Michelle Mabry, Landon Crockett McDaniel and Peyton Ray McDaniel; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Thurl Billips of Falls Church; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 4 until 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Highland Park Community Church. Memorial services will begin at 5 p.m. with Rev. Phillip Madison and Rev. Mike Blouse officiating.
