Ray Edward Quesenberry, 74, fought and lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at his home in Christiansburg. He worked at Lynchburg Foundry for 17 years and at VA Foundry in Roanoke for 17 years. He loved to work outside in the garden and mowing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray L. and Alice Marshall Quesenberry, his brother, Kyle Quesenberry, special grandmother, Molly Marshall and brother-in-law, A. D. Dickerson. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Barbara J. Quesenberry; daughters, Deborah Jean Quesenberry and Rhonda Lynne Quesenberry; sister and brother-in-law, Vada and James Roberts; nieces and nephews, Larry Quesenberry, Jill Quesenberry, Joy Lester, Cathy Edwards, and Kenny Dickerson; former son-in-law, Joey Smith; step-grandson, Adam Smith; and all the many cats he took care of including his special cat Sylvester. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Blue Ridge Cancer Center, Dr. Goldschmidt, Dr. David Buck, Dr. Prussin, Dr. Beato, and the Medi Home Hospice. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Interment will follow in the Indian Creek Church Cemetery in Floyd County. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon. The Quesenberry family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
