Ransom Dale Alley, 75, of Radford, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011. He was born in Carroll County the son of the late Ransom A. and Ina Lou Pickett Alley. He was a U. S. Army veteran and retired master electrician with RAAP. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Dallas Alley. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Shirley King Alley of Radford; daughter, Donna Marie Alley of Radford; three sons and daughters-in-law, Randal Dale and Jane Alley, and Terry Wayne and Melisa Alley, all of Newbern, and Steven Ray and Londa Alley of Pulaski; three brothers, Ellis and Boyd Alley, both of Woodlawn, and Rudolph Alley of Galax; sister Naomi Hagee of Roanoke; and four grandchildren, Candace and Amanda Alley, and Tiffany and Tanner Alley. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 20, 2011 at 11 am at the Fairlawn Church of God with Rev. Terry Bowden officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military rites. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 7 pm Sunday evening at the Fairlawn Church of God, 7858 Pepper Ferry Blvd. The Alley family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
