Phyllis Joan Sutphin Duncan, 72, of Radford, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010. She was a member of the Tower of Refuge Church and retired from Volvo. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Beulah Mae Wright, Virginia Franklin, Fred Sutphin, Myrle Thornton, and Geneva Sutphin. Survivors include her husband Herbert Daniel Duncan, Sr. of Radford; three sons and daughters-in-law, Howard Lynn and Ann Duncan of Dayton, OH, Herbert, Jr. and Judy Duncan of Rogersville, TN, and Dale Lee Duncan of Albany, NY; a brother and sister-in-law, Rush A. Bud and Nancy Sutphin of Blacksburg; two sisters, Christine Sutherland of Roanoke and Snowa Lockheart of Salem; six grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Justin, Michael, Megan and Zachary Duncan; and a great-grandchild, Harmony Ann Duncan. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor Stacy Cope and Rev. Terry Bunch officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday, June, 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pentecostal Conference Cemetery in Dublin.
