Phoebe Charlotte Blankenship, 92, passed away Thursday evening, December 6, 2012 at her home in Christiansburg. She was of the Baptist faith and was a formerly a clerk in the courts of West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buster Blankenship. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Ronnie Worrell of Christiansburg, and Linda and Melvin Hudson of Pulaski; sister, Jean Frances Barrett of Oceana, WVA; brothers, Harry Short of Manassas, Curtis Short of VA. Beach, and Joe Short of Beckley, WVA; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Lori and Mike Howell, Ronnie, Jr. and Angie Worrell, Kelly Dodson, Hope and Garin Haught, Lisa and Gary Nelson, Jerry and Kurt Koedyker, and Elly and Roy Allen; twelve great-grandchildren Landon, Weston, Christian, Gavin, Thomas, Katherine, Nathaniel, Brittany, Shane, Kyle, Brandon and Dallas; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Charitee. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 10, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Christiansburg. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
