Peggy Ray, 72, of Dublin, fell asleep in the arms of God on February 21, 2008, after a courageous battle with Acute Leukemia. She was born on December 27, 1935, and was preceded in death by her parents, Foster A., Sr. and Stella Graham Reves; sister, Patsy Reves Whitt and husband, Jimmy; brothers, Foster Sarge Reves and wife, Toshiko, Boomer Reves and wife, Shirley; beloved daughter, Vickie Lee Brown Ogletree, and grandson Joshua D. Lee. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, William R. Ray; sons, William R. Ray, Jr. and Michael R. Ray; daughter, Rebecca L. Brown-Waldron and husband Larry D. Waldron; brother, Edward W. Donnie Reves, and special sister in-law, Liz Reves; grandchildren, William R. Ray III, Tommy Lee Ogletree, Jason E. Ogletree, Jennifer Lee, Angela Jo Ogletree, and Ashley L. Cox; great granddaughter, Aryana Noelle Cox; special nephew and niece, Sheriff Tommy Whitt and wife, Karen. Peggy also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends. She touched the lives of many with her kind and generous heart. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Harry McCoy and his staff for their kindness during Peggys illness. Also, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mitzi Smith, RN of Montgomery Regional Hospital. Her compassion, dedication and kindness to Peggy and the family during her final hours were so comforting. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2008 at the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford with Pastor Jerry Gibson and Rev. John Thomas officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
