Patsy Walker Whittaker age 60 of Radford passed away Monday, December 28, 2009 at her home. She was retired from Radford University having served in dining services. She was preceded in death by a grandchild Amber Whittaker and by a great grandchild Skylan Amos. She is survived by a son Michael Wayne Whittaker of Radford, two daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia Gail Linkous of Radford and Kimberly and Ernie Andrews of Covington, her parents; Howard Clinton and Louise Hunley Walker of Radford, brother, Johnny Walker of Floyd, 6 grandchildren, Shaun Whittaker, Hallie Linkous, Allen Kirby, Thomas Linkous, Emma Whittaker, Makaela Whittaker and 1 great grandchild, Isabelle Smith. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Parrott Church of God with the Rev. Jim Walker and the Rev. Eddie Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association. The Whittaker family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
